Hi, my name is Sato Sanae. I'm originally from Saitama Prefecture in Japan, and I currently live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I have two cats, and they live here with me in Malaysia. When I was looking for a new home, my biggest concern was finding an apartment where cats were allowed. There weren't many cat-friendly apartments available, so I was worried about whether I would be able to find a suitable place.

If I had been living alone, I would have had many more choices. But I wanted to think from my cats' perspective as well. My previous apartment was quite small, so I wanted to find a home where they could live more comfortably. I decided that I would keep searching until I found the right place.

I searched on property websites like iProperty and contacted many agents. Whenever I mentioned that I had cats, some property owners were unable to accept pets, so I received several rejections. Even so, I didn't give up. Eventually, I found the ideal home, so I think it's important to keep trying and not lose hope.

Compared to my previous apartment, this one is much more spacious, and the location is excellent. My cats now have plenty of room to run around and play. For me, it's also very convenient because my office is nearby, and there are places like AEON and supermarkets in the area. It's a comfortable place for Japanese people to live.

I've been living here for about a month now, and my cats have adapted really well to their new environment. One of them is actually hiding under the sofa right now! As for me, this has been one of the best places I've lived. The environment is so good that I even feel I should have moved here much earlier.

If you're looking for a home in Malaysia with a cat, don't give up. Whether pets are allowed often depends on the individual property owner. Even within the same condominium, one owner may allow cats while another may not. So if you find a condominium and location that you really like, keep asking different owners because their answers can be different.

Finally, I think the most important thing is finding someone you can trust to help you with your home search. I actually had an experience where I was asked to pay money immediately during a property viewing. I don't recommend that at all. A professional agent should always follow the proper rental process and paperwork. It's also important to choose someone who responds quickly whenever you have questions or problems. Having a trustworthy agent makes the whole experience much easier.
